Biography: Cassidy is a 2019 graduate of the University of Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. In 2023, Cassidy went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she was a member of Moot Court and graduated cum laude.

Cassidy grew up in the small mountain town of Blue Ridge, Georgia, raised by her loving parents, Steve and Tiffany Roath. She then lived in Athens, Georgia, while she was a student at UGA. After college, Cassidy moved to New Orleans for law school, which is where she met her now husband, Jacob “Jay” Caldwell. Cassidy and Jay decided to return to Jay’s hometown of Lake Charles following their graduation.

Since moving to Lake Charles in May of 2023, Cassidy has fallen in love with the community and aims to use her education and experience to assist the people that make it up. Cassidy served on the Board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association in 2024. Some other things Cassidy loves, include, but are not limited to: her family, Bowie (her golden retriever), the Georgia Bulldogs, theater, and traveling.
