Biography: Kody is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, with a degree of Bachelor of Accountancy received in 2009 and the degrees of Juris Doctor and Master of Accountancy received in 2012. After admission to the Mississippi Bar in 2012, Kody obtained the degree of Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida School of Law in May, 2013 and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October, 2013.

Effective January 1, 2021, Kody was certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization as an Estate Planning and Administration Specialist.

Kody is married to Toni Cannon and they have two daughters, Charlotte (6 years old) and Eliza (2 years old). Though born in Lake Charles, Kody was raised in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, by his parents, Kelly and Julie Sebren Cannon, both of whom are originally from Lake Charles.

Kody currently serves as the Policies and Procedures Chair of Leadership Southwest Louisiana, as a Board Member of the Calcasieu Community Clinic, and as the attorney for the Better Business Bureau of Southwest Louisiana.

Member: Louisiana Bar Association and Mississippi Bar Association.
